Can the look and feel of Social Squared by customized?
The user interface of Social Squared is composed of user control templates, images and css. These can be copied and then customized in any way you like meaning you can radically change the look and feel of Social Squared.
We are also happy to assist with any custom user interface work/design work to get Social Squared to fit with your existing SharePoint branding.
Does Social Squared support languages other than English?
Yes it does. At the moment Social Squared has been translated in to Dutch, German, and Russian. We use standard SharePoint practices for language resource files so we can easily translate the forum into any other language you may wish.
Can we keep our content when upgrading from the Trial version?
Yes is the simple answer. When you purchase the full version of Social Squared you can just upgrade the web part which will mean all of your existing forums, topics and posts will continue to be available to everyone.
Can I import topics and post from another discussion forum to Social Squared?
We have a tool that will import forums, topics and posts to Social Squared when provided in a defined XML format. We also have tools to export the content from SharePoint Discussion Lists, phpBB and Community Server into this format.
