The below image displays the LTDVWP configured to display data from the Northwind SQL Database. Notice the Optional icons to the left allowing for the Editing and Deletion of Data. The CustomID hyperlink provides a connection to another LTDVWP for filtering purposes

Once the Edit icon is selected – as long as the logged on user has permissions, they can update the data as shown in the following image.
The Web Part is easily configured via a secondary toolpane allowing for you to select which columns to display, setup aliases, grouping, links, and aggregate functions
