The Lightning Tools Data Viewer Web Parts allows connections between other Lightning Tools Data View Web Parts. This means that you can display Master/Detail or Summary/Detail scenarios on your back end database system. The below example displays a Web Part connection between Customers and Orders. As you select each Customer, the Orders Web Part will display the orders for that customer.

The Web Parts are connected just like any other SharePoint Web Part. You specify which column the two web parts are going to be linked on, and then choose Edit, Connections, Send Key Value to, Name of Web Part. The connection can also be performed from the consuming side.
