Lightning Conductor 2010 Web Part Release Notes

Version 2.0.0.2 November 2011

This release of the Lightning Conductor Web Part contains the following bug fixes and improvements:

Allow asynchronous loading - The Lightning Conductor web part loads independently of the web part page. This can be turned on or off.

Item Level Security - Item level security is now checked by default ensuring that all items that should display for the currently logged on user are displayed appropriately.

Support for Rating Columns - In version 2.0.0.1 and before, the rating column did not display a value when aggregated.

Improved Error Handling - If a user does not configure the web part appropriately, the web part displays a useful message explaining to the user what to do.

Grouping Behaviour - Improvements have been made to the grouping behaviour of the web part. In version 2.0.0.1 the group did not display as expanded or collapsed until you had left the edit mode of the page.

Sorting Improvements - Users can apply a sort and remove a sort from the column headers without refreshing the page.

Setting a Shared Property on a Publishing Page - Users have the ability to refine filters and sorting without checking out the publishing page.

Date localization issue - The localization of dates is now supported for all date formats.

Content Type inheritence problem - The 2.0.0.1 release had an issue with recognizing child content types and their site columns for display. This problem is now absent.
