The BDC Alert Manager from Lightning Tools allows your users to stay informed by email as their critical business data changes. Alerts can easily be configured and managed for any Business Data Catalog Data source from a central place.
Simple rules can be put in place to allow email alerts to be sent only when conditions are hit.
The people who receive the alerts can exist both inside and outside your organization. This could allow the scenario of a supplier being sent an email order when the stock level reaches a certain point.
The body of the email can also be configured to include BDC fields.
Finally you can adjust how often to check your Line of Business system to see if rules and conditions are hit.
